SPRINGFIELD, VA – April 21, 2015 – Strategy and Management Services, Inc. (SAMS), an award-winning, SBA 8(a) program participant, verified SDVOSB, EDWOSB, and an SBA-certified SDB small business, who provides operations support, information technology services, facilities management functions, and a range of complex other services and solutions for customers across the federal government, announces today that its President and CEO, Staci Redmon, has been named a 2015 Brava! Award winner. SmartCEO Magazine’s Brava! Program, celebrates the achievements of high impact female leaders who successfully combine their irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for mentorship, philanthropy, and giving back to their communities to keep their companies on the fast track to continued growth and success.

Since founding SAMS in 2008, Staci, a 20-year federal service veteran, who held roles in uniform, as a civil servant, and an industry contractor, has remained committed to her vision to “Exceed Expectations with People Who Make a Difference.” Under Staci’s leadership, SAMS has consistently deepened its footprint in its key market areas through its unique ability to assemble teams who go above and beyond expectations to truly make a difference on its client engagements.

As SAMS has continued to rise to ever-greater levels of growth, achievement, and success, Staci has continued to lead by example, driven by her desire for excellence, focus on her people as the engine to the company’s continued success, and giving back to her larger community. Some key hallmarks of Staci’s leadership values and achievements include:

  • Driving increased growth through numerous contract awards, consistently doubling the company’s total revenues each year from 2008 to 2014 despite the volatility of the federal government market;
  • Leading employee teams with the mantra, “One Team, One Dream,” to inspire engagement, commitment, and the industry-leading expertise that has earned SAMS its sterling reputation within the federal market space, as well as drive forward to Staci’s eventual goal of SAMS becoming a long-term venture for staff and their families;
  • Encouraging a culture of open communication and participation at all levels of the organization, along with a wealth of professional development and continued education opportunities, such as PMP Boot Camp for employees in leadership positions and online Skillsoft courses to ensure the team’s skills are on track with the latest in available technology and innovation to deliver top service to SAMS’ customers; and
  • A belief in leading by example, ensuring that employees feel personally involved in and valued by the company, starting with Staci at the top. She makes a point of knowing each staff member by name, delivering personally-signed birthday cards and certificates of recognition, and making quarterly visits to connect with remote employees.

Staci also extends her leadership by example to inspire her employee teams to give back to a number of philanthropic groups and community organizations as one of SAMS’ central values. In addition to her own volunteering role on the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA)’s small business committee and women’s subcommittee, Staci also spearheaded the launch of the ‘SAMS CARES’ program in the summer of 2014. SAMS CARES provides employees with a forum to channel their monthly volunteer efforts, social awareness, and donations to a number of global organizations, and include a Back to School donation drive in August, 2014 followed by a Toys for Tots and Coat Donation Drive in December, 2014 as a few of its first projects. Under Staci’s leadership, SAMS also contributes 1% of its yearly profits to veteran associations, as well as Operation Homefront and Relay for Life.
